Delete Connection

The Delete Connection feature in Max allows users to permanently remove a connection and all its associated datasets. This action is accessible via the top-right menu of the Connections screen.

🚧

When a user chooses to delete a connection, it is important to note that this action cannot be undone. Once a connection and its datasets are deleted, they cannot be recovered. Therefore, users should exercise caution when using this feature to avoid unintended data loss.

Key Points to Remember

  • Permanent Action: Deleting a connection will also remove all datasets associated with it.
  • No Recovery: There is no option to recover a deleted connection or its datasets. Make sure to double-check before confirming the deletion.
  • Use with Caution: Given the irreversibility of this action, use the Delete feature only when you are certain the connection and datasets are no longer needed.

Common Use Cases

  1. Cleanup of Unused Connections: Deleting old or unused connections can help keep your environment organized, ensuring that only active connections are maintained.
  2. Removing Test Connections: After testing in development or staging environments, users may delete temporary connections that are no longer necessary.

This feature provides a straightforward way to manage and clean up connections, but it should be used carefully to avoid unintentional data loss.
