How to Create a Power BI Connection
- Navigate to Connections and click Add New Connection.
- Choose Power BI as the connection type.
- Enter the required credentials:
- Tenant ID – Your Power BI tenant identifier.
- Client ID – The application client ID.
- Client Secret – The application client secret.
- Workspace ID – The ID of the Power BI workspace where your dataset lives.
- PBI Dataset ID – The ID of the specific dataset you want to connect to.
- Click Test Connection to verify the credentials.
- Click Create Connection to save.
Using the Connection to Build a Dataset
Once the Power BI connection is created:
- Navigate to Datasets.
- Click Add Dataset and select your Power BI connection.
- Choose the dataset you want to use from the list of available Power BI datasets.
- Configure the dataset as needed, then save.
